The Spartans swept a double header against Clintonville by scores of 3-0 and 20-0 in three innings on Monday in North Eastern Conference softball.
Game one was a pitcher's duel between L-C's Rebecca Kroll and Clintonville's Carolyn Sasse. Each maintained a no-hitter through the first five innings with Sasse's being a perfect game. Kroll pitched a hitless top of the sixth. LC finally broke through in the bottom of the inning on Payton Kaminski's double, Kylie Hanson's two out RBI single, Rebecca Kroll's RBI double and Josie Dorner's RBI single. Kroll recorded all outs in the seventh via strike out to end the game and record her second consecutive no-hitter.
Kroll threw a complete game, surrendering no hits, 15 strike outs and 2 walks.
In game two, Emily Jandrin tossed a three-inning no-hitter for the Spartans as Luxemburg-Casco crushed the Truckers 20-3.
