A local matchup highlights the opening day of the WIAA Tournament on Thursday.
On 104.1 WRLU, Sturgeon Bay will make the trip south of the county line to play a 4:30 p.m. game against Luxemburg-Casco. Tim Kowols and Paul Schmitt will have the call beginning at 4 p.m. with the pre-game show followed by the first pitch. The game will also be available on NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com. Kewaunee will host Hilbert/Stockbridge for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
Sevastopol will play at home against NEW Lutheran at 5 p.m. with a second-round matchup against Gibraltar on the line for Tuesday.
Algoma will travel to Reedsville for a 4:30 p.m first pitch.
Southern Door has a first round bye as they wait for the winner of Manitowoc Lutheran/Brillion.
