Algoma's Logan Borths and Luxemburg-Casco's Taylor Thiry are bringing home hardware after the first day of the WIAA State Track and Field Meet.
Borths took sixth place in the wheelchair division for shotput with a throw of over 14 feet.
Thiry ended her high school career with a shot put toss of 39 feet 4 inches. Kewaunee's Lisa Reinke finished behind her in 13th place with a distance of 35 feet 3.5 inches.
In other results, Grace Holschuh of Luxemburg-Casco finished in 13th place in long jump with a leap of 16 feet 6.5 inches. Kewaunee Ben Heim took 16th in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet, 7.25 inches.
Cate Anderson of Sturgeon Bay finished just outside of the finals with a time of 16.19, missing the final spot by .05 seconds. Luxemburg-Casco's John Larson qualified for the finals of the 110m and 300m hurdles. Logan Vandermause of Luxemburg-Casco missed out on qualifying in the 200m as did Sevastopol's Kylee Duessler.
