Brewers fall late to Phillies, drop fourth straight

Star reliever Josh Hader allowed his first runs of the season as the Milwaukee Brewers could not hold on to a ninth-inning lead against Philadelphia Phillies, losing 3-2 Tuesday night.

Hader (0-1) gave up two home runs blowing his first save of the season.

The Brewers took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning behind a strong pitching performance by Jason Alexander, who went five innings allowing only one run on seven hits.

Milwaukee's offense was led by Rowdy Telez, Andrew McCutchen, and Christian Yelich who had two hits a piece.

Having lost four straight games, the Brewers still hold a half-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central Division.

The Brewers and Phillies will play game two in the series Wednesday night with first pitch at 7:10 pm.
