The Green Bay Rockers scored two runs in the opening frame and never looked back in their 6-3 win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Wednesday evening.
Griffin Stevens and Keniel De Leon collected RBI singles in the first inning to put the Rockers ahead 2-0. Mikey Kluska offered the biggest blow of the game in the third inning when he drove in a pair on a single. De Leon's second RBI of the game came as an insurance run in the sixth inning on a single to make it 6-0. The Dock Spiders were able to make it interesting with two runs in the eighth and one in the ninth, but they could not get any closer than that.
Logan Berrier got the win, shutting out the Dock Spiders for five innings as he walked three and struck out four.
The Dock Spiders and the Rockers will shift their series north to Fox Cities Stadium Thursday night for the inaugural I-41 Showdown.
