The Philadelphia Phillies outhit the Milwaukee Brewers 14-4 en route to 10-0 win Wednesday night.
The Phillies would take their lead for good in the third inning when they scored four runs on Brewers starter Adrian Houser on homers by Bryson Scott and Rhys Hopkins. Odubel Herrera would add his own homer in the fifth inning to make it 5-0. Kyle Schwarber's doubles in the seventh and ninth innings drove in a run each while Bryce Harper's homer in the ninth put exclamation point on the Phillies' onslaught.
Aaron Nola did not need much help in his eight inning performance. He struck out six and allowed four hits in the outing.
The two teams will play an 1:10 p.m. matinee to close out the series Thursday.
