Brewers look to snap skid against Nats

The Milwaukee Brewers travel to the Nation's Capitol on Friday after being swept by the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday 8-3.

Willy Adames gave the Brewers an early 1-0 lead when he homered in the bottom of the first, only to see the Phillies cancel it out with a tally of their own in the second. The Phillies would score two more runs in the fifth inning to make it 3-1. Hunter Renfroe would cut the deficit to one with his 10th homer in the sixth inning, but the Phillies would hit dingers in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings to put the game out of reach. Andrew McCutchen made it an 8-3 ballgame with an RBI single in the ninth.

The Brewers will now face the Washington Nationals for a three-game set beginning at 6:05 p.m.
