Brewers pounded by Nationals, lose seventh straight

The Milwaukee Brewers woes continued on the road Friday night as they fell to the Washington Nationals 11-5.  

 

Aaron Ashby started for the Brewers and allowed six runs on 13 hits in just 4 2/3 innings as Milwaukee dropped their seventh straight game.

 

Brewer pitchers gave up 19 hits in the games and saw Nelson Cruz collect four hits including one of the National's four home runs in the game. 

 

Andrew McCutchen had three hits and Jace Peterson knocked in three runs along with a home run to lead the Brewer offense.

 

Milwaukee will try to get on the winning track Saturday as they face Washington in game two of the series at 3:05 pm.
