The Milwaukee Brewers continued to struggle to score runs and were shut out by the New York Mets 4-0 on Tuesday night. Met starting pitcher Chris Bassitt threw eight scoreless innings allowing only three hits to earn the win.
Brewer starter Adrian Hauser (3-7) took the loss going just 4.2 innings and giving up eight hits and four runs.
The two teams will play game two in the series Wednesday night with first pitch set for 6:10 pm.
The Brewers (34-29) dropped their ninth game in ten games and trail the St. Louis Cardinals by two games in the National League Central Division.
