The Green Bay Rockers once again waited too long to make their comeback as they lost to Rockford Rivets 9-5.
The Rockers scored all five of their runs in the ninth inning already down 9-0. The big blow to the Rockers' chances was the fourth inning when the Rivets scored four runs and nearly batted around. The Rivets scored all of their runs in the decisive frames on singles. They also registered single tallies in the first, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings.
Tristin Garcia had the biggest blow in the game for the Rockers, knocking in two runs with his double in the ninth.
The two teams face each other again Saturday night in Rockford at 6:35.
