Behind the strong pitching of Brandon Woodruff, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tamap Bay Rays 5-3 Tuesday night. Woodruff pitched five innings after coming off the injured list and gave up only two hits and one run while striking out ten.
A big four-run sixth inning was the difference as Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urius hit two-run home runs to put the Brewers up 4-1.
Josh Hader came on in the ninth inning to pick up his 23rd save of the season.
The Brewers (33-23) and Rays will play a matinee Wednesday at 11:10 am at Tropicana Field in Tampa.
