A six-run fifth inning gave the Green Bay Rockers the lead as they cruised to a 9-1 win over the Rockford Rivets.
The Rockers batted around in the decisive inning with Brendan Ryan, Tristin Garcia, and Jake Berg delivering the big blows with RBI singles.
After the Rivets tallied a run in the top half of the eighth, the Rockers added three insurance runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by a two-run Griffin Selby bomb.
Bryce Crabb earned the win, holding the Rivets to just four hits and no runs across six innings.
The Rockers open a home-and-home set against the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park Tuesday night.
