Josh Hader gave up the game-winning homer in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday to have the Milwaukee Brewers fall to their border rival Minnesota Twins 5-2.
The Brewers were down 1-0 when they tied the Twins on a Jace Peterson home run in the third inning. The Peterson bomb was just one of four hits on the day for the Brewers, who were otherwise kept in check by four Twins pitchers.
The ninth inning proved fatal for the Brewers when the Twins opened the frame with a walk and a single before Jose Miranda homered on the second pitch of the at-bat.
The Brewers head to San Francisco to open a four-game series against the Giants. Corbin Burnes will open the series as its starting pitcher.
