Big innings continue to doom Rockers

A six-spot put up by the Madison Mallards all but ended things for the Green Bay Rockers in a 12-5 road loss Thursday night.

The Rockers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a Danny Wuestenfeld home run. The Mallards would go on a 7-0 run with a single tally in the third inning and six runs in the fourth. Reuben Church's RBI single and a sacrifice fly would bite into the Mallards' lead to make 7-5 in the sixth, but the Rockers would give up three runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning and another pair a few innings later to send them to another loss.

The Rockers will stay in Madison for another night with the first pitch occurring at 6:35 p.m.
