Sweep elusive at Fenway as Brewers enter off day, trade deadline

The Milwaukee Brewers will have a day to look back at Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox and look forward to what their team may look like when they return to action on Tuesday.

Former Red Sox and current Brewers outfielder Hunter Renfroe launched one over the Green Monster to make it 2-0 in the second inning. The Red Sox would storm ahead for good in the fifth when they hit four RBI doubles to make it 5-2. They would tack on more in the sixth with an RBI double from former Brewers outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and a RBI single from Jaylin Davis.

The Brewers will play at the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m., which is five minutes after the MLB trade deadline.
