Egg Harbor tops Maplewood in regular season finale on 105.1 The GOAT, playoff field set

The rain made the final Sunday of the Door County Baseball League regular season finale cloudy, while the playoff picture is now clear.

It was a close game for the first half of the afternoon, but then got crazy in the fourth inning and took off from there.  The first run was scored in the second inning by the Indians off a Fuller RBI to make it 1-0.  That score remained until the fourth when the Indians went on a runner and scored five.  A sacrifice fly by Braden Kita followed up by a two-RBI double by Eric DeJardin and a two-run RBI triple from Alex Byrn. Another large inning came in the fifth for the Indians as another four runs scored, making the score 9-0.  The Mets got on the board in the top of the 7th inning with two RBIs coming from Zach Marchant and Will Jandrin. The Mets would not be able to get closer as the game ended 9-2.

While the game between Baileys Harbor and Kolberg was canceled, Washington Island was able to beat West Jacksonport. The Islanders would go on to win the coin flip to earn the number three seed, sending them to Sister Bay next weekend for their DCBL playoff matchup. That sends the Ports to Kolberg to face the Braves.

Both games will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Stay tuned to learn which game 105.1 The GOAT will broadcast.
