The Milwaukee Brewers hope American Family Field will cure its woes after losing to the Colorado Rockies Wednesday 8-4.
The Rockies scored seven of their eight runs in the second third innings, with Michael Toglia delivering the big blows. He knocked in the game's first run with a double and put the game away for good in the third with a three-run homer.
The Brewers would chisel away at the lead with Victor Caratini knocking in one run with a ground out, only to have the Rockies match that effort in the seventh. Christian Yelich drove in a run with a double in the eighth and both Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urias homered in the ninth, but that was far from enough to save them from a 2-5 road trip.
The Brewers will host the San Francisco Giants for a rare doubleheader at American Family Field on Thursday, with the first game at 3:10 p.m.
