Clippers run through Bulldogs on 103.3 The Clipper

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers kept their winning ways going as they were able to take over the game once again in the second half, winning 40-14 over the Peshtigo Bulldogs.

The Clippers got the scoring started early, after stuffing the Bulldogs short of a first down on a 4th and 1, Danny Lodl found Kaden Lettie for a 47 Yard Touchdown pass to make it a quick 7-0 lead for Sturgeon Bay. The Clippers would answer themselves with another touchdown, this one being a 14 yard scamper from running back David Zuehlke to push the lead to 13-0.

Peshtigo was not going to go down without a fight however, as Kavin Kleikamp broke multiple would-be Clipper tackles on his way to a 52 yard touchdown run, as the Bulldogs were on the board 13-6. That one score lead would not last long as Danny Lodl connected on his second of 5 touchdowns on the night, this one to Patrick Haese for 55 Yards to make it 19-6.

A 2 Yard Touchdown by Trevor Marquardt would send the halftime score to 19-14 at the break.

That is when just like last week, the floodgates would open as 20 seconds into the second half, Danny Lodl would take just one play to get the Clippers back on the board with a 62 Yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 27-14.

Danny Lodl would throw two more touchdown passes on the night, to Patrick Haese for 6 yards and Caleb Plzak for 51 yards respectively. That would make the final score 40-14 Clippers.

The player of the game was Quarterback Danny Lodl as he racked up 5 touchdown passes on the night and led the Sturgeon Bay offense.

In other games around the Packerland, Southern Door took care of business 34-6 over Marinette, and Kewaunee took down Bonduel 40-19.
