Mets come back to slam Brewers 7-5

The New York Mets overcame a 4-0 deficit Tuesday night and beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-5 at American Family Field.  Francisco Lindor hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to propel the Mets to the win.

The Brewers jumped to a three-run lead in the second inning and added another run in the fifth, but Peter Alonso hit his 37 home run with two runners on in the sixth inning to cut the lead to 4-3.

Aaron Ashby returned from the injured list and pitched two scoreless innings, but Brad Boxberger and Taylor Rodgers could not hold the lead, giving up seven runs on just three hits, collectively.

Taylor (4-8) took the loss while Joely Rodriguez got the win for the Mets.

The Brewers (78-70), who have lost three straight, trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 2.5 games for the final wild card spot with 14 games remaining.
