The Sturgeon Bay soccer team hopes it can continue its strong offensive output Friday night as it hosts Green Bay Preble.

Days after topping Green Bay East with a five-goal night and a clean sheet, the Clippers followed suit with a 9-0 win against Peshtigo on Thursday. The team started strong and had a 6-0 lead at the half. Six Clippers found the back of the net including Isaac Schulz (2), Gavin Fernandez (2), Ben Stephen (2), Jackson Starr (1), Espen Walker (1), and Landen Hintz (1).

Sturgeon Bay is back in action tonight at Clark Field with the host Green Bay Preble. The Hornets (5-4-2) are in the middle of their own offensive hot streak. They beat Sheboygan South 9-1 on Thursday after a 6-0 win over crosstown rival Green Bay Southwest on Tuesday. This game is a special broadcast on U-102.1 starting at 6:15 with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 6:30 p.m.

Other local scores included Gibraltar/Sevastopol and NEW Lutheran playing to a scoreless draw and Luxemburg-Casco playing Marinette to a 1-1 tie. No score was reported for the Algoma/Kewaunee match.
