Packers survive trip to Tampa Bay

A tipped pass on a two-point conversion attempt at the end of the game gave the Green Bay Packers a much-needed 14-12 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon.

The Buccaneers started the game with a made field goal, but the Packers responded with two consecutive touchdown drives to give them a 14-3 lead. Aaron Rodgers hooked up with Romeo Doubs and Allen Lazard for the two scores.

Those two touchdown passes would be the last time they would score, with their best chance coming on a pass to Aaron Jones. Two Buccaneers defenders were able to dislodge the ball, preventing the 21-3 lead from occurring. The Buccaneers would add a field goal in the third quarter and a touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Russell Gage in the closing minute to make it 14-12. Brady had a man open for the two-point conversion, but De'Vondre Campbell was able to tip the ball away to prevent the score and kept the game a Packers victory in regulation.

Rodgers had the slight upper hand on Brady, throwing for 255 yards to go with his two touchdowns and one interception. Brady threw for 271 yards and a single score.

The Packers return home for a Gold Package game against the New England Patriots. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m.
