DCU continues winning streak at Clintonville

Door County United (DCU) girls high school swim team success continued with their win against Clintonville High School on Tuesday, September 27th. The team scored 124 points to Clintonville’s 36 points. Clintonville did not have a junior varsity team. Isabella Jimenez Seyfer (SBHS) scored 9 points in her individual events, 6 of which coming from her 1st place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. This was her first time completing this event at the high school level. Freshman Regan Kasten (SBHS) scored 8 points in her individual events of the night as well. Danica Neville (SDHS) scored 10 points for the team with her 1st place finish in the 100 yard backstroke and her 2nd place finish in the 200 yard individual medley. The girls finished the meet scoring 12 more overall points with a 1st and 2nd place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay. The A relay consisted of Cassie Rankin (SEV), Regan Kasten (SBHS), Julia Michalski (SBHS), and Sanya Wienke (SBHS). The B relay consisted of Isabella Jimenez Seyfer (SBHS), Paula Wienke (SBHS), Anika Steinbach (SBHS), and Natalia Michalski (SBHS). The team’s next match up is on Thursday October 6th where they will take on Pulaski High School at the Door County YMCA. The meet will begin at 6:00 p.m.
