Sturgeon Bay looks to bounce back on 103.3 The Clipper

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will look to bounce back from a tough loss to Kewaunee in a Saturday edition of Friday Night Lights as they take on Mishicot.

Sturgeon Bay (4-3 Overall, 3-2 Packerland), wasn’t able to come away with a win against Kewaunee, as they fell 55-14. The game was never particularly close, as the Storm came out and scored 28 in the first quarter as the Clippers fell behind and were never able to get back in it. Sturgeon Bay has barely outscored their conference opponents by a score of 161-158, but have not been in any close conference games. There have been outliers of blowouts both ways which have kept it close. The Clippers will have to look to their backup QB options of Connor Waterstreet and Caleb Plzak for the rest of the season as they have lost Danny Lodl to a left ankle injury. Leaning on the likes of David Zuehlke and Mason Sacotte could be vital for the success of the offense.

Mishicot (3-4 Overall, 2-3 Packerland), have had an up and down overall season so far. After starting the conference schedule 2-1, Mishicot has gone 0-2 their last two and will look to change that and get into a closer spot for the playoffs after Saturday. They will rely on Quarterback Logan Marquardt, who is able to run it and throw it, which could cause some trouble for the Clippers defense.

Gary Barta and Tim Ash will be on the call Saturday from Memorial Field with the pregame show beginning at 12:45 with kickoff set for 1:00 on 103.3 The Clipper, 96-7 WBDK HD-2, and NewRadioSportsNetwork.com.
