The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team picked up a quintuplet of wins en route to a tournament championship in De Pere on Saturday.
In pool play, the Spartans beat DePere 25-15, 25-10, West DePere 25-13, 25-11, and Fond du Lac 28-26, 25-21. In the semifinal, the Spartans beat Pulaski 25-17, 25-11 before capturing the championship match they beat DePere a second time 25-20, 25-16.
Standouts for the Spartans were Alayna Deprez (73 assists and 25 digs), Kylie Hanson (32 kills, 23 digs and 3 aces), Autumn Flynn (29 kills, 6 blocks, and 6 aces), Campbell Onell (20 kills and 8 blocks), and Brooke VandeHei-45 digs and 10 aces.
Afterwards, head coach Jeff Frey said, "It’s that time of the year where you are trying to stack success and keep building. We played well today, and did a lot of really good things."
