Sturgeon Bay soccer hosts Peshtigo on The Clipper

The newly crowned Packerland Conference champion Sturgeon Bay Clippers will play another tune-up ahead of the start of the WIAA Playoffs with a match against Peshtigo Thursday night at Clark Field.

The Clippers posted their fifth straight clean sheet in conference play earlier this week when they topped Gibraltar/Sevastopol 2-0 in Fish Creek. Fernandez (11th minute) and Rangel (61st minute) led the way for the Clips in scoring.

The Bulldogs have struggled to score goals over the last month, which includes a 9-0 shutout loss to the Clippers on September 22nd. Since September 20th, the Bulldogs are 1-4-1 while being outscored 26-5.

Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call on 103.3/96.7 WBDK HD-2 The Clipper and beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first touch at 6:30 p.m.

The other local soccer game of note includes Gibraltar/Sevastopol at home against NEW Lutheran.
