The kings and queens of Packerland Conference cross country will be decided in Fish Creek on Thursday.

Algoma, Gibraltar, Kewaunee, Oconto, Peshtigo, Providence Academy/NEW Lutheran, Sevastopol, Southern Door, and Sturgeon Bay will all toe the line and tackle Gibraltar's cross-country course with pride and a crown on the line.

The Kewaunee boys and the Sevastopol girls won last year's team titles, while graduated senior Cameron Cullen of Kewaunee and current sophomore Holly Pesch of Peshtigo won the individual title in 2021.

Things could be set up well for Southern Door's Ben Grota and Brooke Strege, who were the top conference finishers in the Chief Kahquados Invitational held earlier this year on the same course.

The first races begin at 3:45 p.m.
