Bucks edge Sixers

The Milwaukee Bucks captured their first victory of the 2022-2023 campaign with 90-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo narrowly missed out on a triple-double as he led the Bucks in all offensive categories with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists. Brook Lopez added 17 points while Grayson Allen and Bobby Portis also cracked double digits.

The 76ers made things interesting in the fourth quarter, down 73-63. James Harden's lay-up with under seven minutes to go tied the game, and the two teams traded baskets the rest of the way, with another Harden basket giving the 76ers a two-point lead with 1:43 remain. A Wesley Matthews three-pointer with 24.7 seconds proved to be the game-winner for the Bucks.

The Bucks are back in action on Saturday when they host the Houston Rockets at 7 p.m.
