The area's cross-country teams hope to extend their season at least another week with sectionals occurring on Saturday.

Sturgeon Bay and Luxemburg-Casco head to Deer Run Golf Course to race against Brillion, Chilton, Denmark, Kiel, Little Chute, North Fond du Lac, Notre Dame De La Baie Academy, Oostburg, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers, Wrightstown, and Xavier. First races begin at 10 a.m.

Algoma, Sevastopol, Gibraltar, Kewaunee, and Southern Door travel to Manitowoc's Meadow Links Golf Course for their sectional meet. They will also run against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Hilbert, Howards Grove, Kohler, Lourdes Academy, Mishicot, New Holstein, Reedsville, Roncalli, Sheboygan Lutheran, St. Mary's Springs, Valders, Valley Christian, and Winnebago Lutheran Academy. The first races begin at 11 a.m.

The top teams plus individual qualifiers, will race again in the state meet next Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.
