Clippers soccer looks for revenge on U-1021

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer looks to avenge last year's sectional final loss when they travel to face Sheboygan Christian/Sheboygan in the 2022 WIAA Division 4 Sectional Final.

Emmett Braschnewitz picked a good time for the biggest save of his career, leading Sturgeon Bay to the sectional final in a 1-1 (7-6 SO) victory over Kiel on Thursday. Following Laden Hintz's goal in overtime, the two teams were even through the first six rounds of the shoot-out until Isaac Marsh put the Clippers ahead 7-6, setting the stage for Braschnewitz's heroics.

Sheboygan Christian/Sheboygan Lutheran made it to the sectional semi-final with a 2-0 victory over Kohler. They have outscored their opponents 13-1 in the tournament so far, The Clippers lost to Sheboygan Christian/Sheboygan Lutheran 3-1 in last year's sectional final thanks to two overtime goals.

Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call from Kiel on U-1021 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 3:45 p.m. with the pre-match show followed by the kickoff at 4 p.m.
