Southern Door's Emma Bousley and Kewaunee's Hannah Miller made strong efforts in the first-ever race at the WIAA State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids.

Miller was the top local finisher with a time of 21:06 on the 5K course at Ridges Golf Course, which was good for 49th place overall. Bousley was not far behind her Packerland rival, covering the route in 21:19 for a 54th-place finish.
