Packers desperate for win against Lions

The Green Bay Packers need a win in the worst of ways on Sunday when they travel to Detroit to face the Lions.

The Packers have lost four games in a row,  including its most recent defeat to the Buffalo Bills 27-17 last Sunday night. The team hopes to be closer to full strength on Sunday if Allen Lazard and Christian Watson can return from their injuries to help Aaron Rodgers, who is nursing his own thumb ailment.

The Lions are one of the few teams with a worse record than the Packers with a 1-6 record. They have not won since a Week 2 victory over the Washington Commanders, a team that has beat the Packers this year.

A silver lining for the Packers is they have won five of their last six meetings against the Lions, who won the last game at Ford Field 37-30 when the Packers had already the number one seed.

Kickoff is set for noon.
