Second half play defines Phoenix games

Watching the second half of both Green Bay Phoenix games on Saturday is all you need to --see to understand why the men lost and the women won.

 

The Phoenix men were just down by two heading into the break in their game against Georgetown Saturday morning, only to see the Hoyas shoot 70 percent in the second half to lose 92-58. The Phoenix, led by Clarence Cummings' 14 points, were outscored 61-29 in the second half. Zae Blake added 13 points in the losst.

 

The Phoenix women outscored Marist 46-24 in the second half to win their first game of the season 74-45. Hailey Oskey led the way with 19 points and two others reached double figures. The Phoenix's defense limited the Red Foxes to less than 30 percent from the field and less than 10 percent from behind the arc in the victory.
