The Milwaukee Brewers, along with the rest of MLB, are stashing players on their 40-man roster this week.
In the last few days, the Brewers have added INF Brice Turang, RHP Abner Uribe, RHP Cam Robinson, and 1B Jon Singleton to the 40-man roster.
By placing players on the 40-man roster, it protects players from next month's Rule 5 draft, which is made up of borderline prospects that can be selected by other teams. Being on the 40-man roster also puts you on a faster path to make it the big leagues than players who are not on it.
