Brewers continue to mold 40-man roster

The Milwaukee Brewers are still trying to get a grasp of who will be on their roster when they report to Maryvale in February.

The Brewers took steps to revamping their bullpen by saying goodbye to LHP Brent Suter, who was claimed off waivers by Colorado. They did grab a new arm via trade by acquiring RHP Javy Guerra from Tampa Bay in exchange for a player to be named later.

Two familiar faces will remain in the pen as the Brewers signed RHP Matt Bush and RHP Adrian Houser to 1-year contracts, avoiding arbitration. They hope for similar fates with tendered contracts to SS Willy Adames, INF Mike Brosseau, C Victor Caratini, INF Keston Hiura, OF Hunter Renfroe, 1B Rowdy Tellez, INF Luis Urías, RHP Corbin Burnes, LHP Eric Lauer, LHP Hoby Milner, RHP Devin Williams and RHP Brandon Woodruff. With many of those pieces, you can expect to see substantial raises coming based on their recent performances.

The Brewers also non-tendered RHP Trevor Gott, RHP Jandel Gustave and RHP Luis Perdomo.
