Four first-period goals were almost not enough in the Green Bay Gamblers' 5-3 win over the Madison Capitols.
Mykhailo Danylov scored two goals and Peter Kramer and Carter Rose each tacked on tallies of their own in a chaotic first period that saw six total goals.
The Capitols got the game to within one after two periods, but Eli Sebastian pushed it back to a two-goal game in the opening minute of the third period to put the game away for the Gamblers.
The Gamblers continue their homestand on Saturday when the Chicago Steel comes to the Resch Center for a 7:05 puck drop.
