The Wisconsin Badgers made a furious comeback at the Battle for Atlantis Tournament, only to come up short on a clutch shot to lose to Kansas 69-68.
Trailing the Jayhawks 33-20 at the break, the Badgers stormed back to outscore their opponents to force the extra frame. Leading the comeback was Grant Wahl, who scored 14 points of his team-high 23 points in the second half. Wahl scored nine straight points in the last three and a half minutes of regulation.
The hero ended up being Kansas' Bobby Pettiford Jr., who scored his only points of the game when he followed up on a missed three-pointer and converted the layup with just fractions of a second remaining on the clock.
The Badgers are back in action on Friday when they battle USC at noon.
