The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team has gotten off to a rough start so far in the beginning of the season, dropping every game they’ve played for a 0-5 start. They will take on UIC on Saturday night.
Ten transfers out of 15 total players from last year’s team is what head coach Will Ryan had to replace going into the offseason, and he found transfer Zae Blake from Southwest Mississippi Community College, who has averaged a team high 9.8 points per game. Green Bay has not been close in any particular games that they have played, with their closest loss being 11 to the Wisconsin Badgers.
UIC has had a strong start to their new season, opening up their first six games with a 4-2 record. Those four wins include impressive games with a win over Jacksonville State and a close loss to a well known March Madness team, Loyola Chicago.
The game is set to tip off at 6:00 P.M. at the Kress Center in Green Bay.
