The Gibraltar Vikings boys' basketball team heads to Green Bay on Friday to battle NEW Lutheran in Packerland Conference action.
Jake Schar scored 12 points and two others at least seven, but they could not slow down the Kewaunee Storm in their 67-46 loss on Tuesday in Fish Creek. At 23.2 points per game, Schar is responsible for more than half of the Vikings' 52.2 per game in the early going.
Honorable Mention All-State player Tristian Lynch is averaging 22.3 points on the season, but strong support from Elijah Meerstein (18.0 ppg) and Jack Henschel (9.8 ppg) has helped the Blazers jump out to a 3-1 overall record, including a 2-0 Packerland mark. The Blazers beat Algoma earlier in the week 64-45.

In Thursday's action, Luxemburg-Casco fell into a 20-point hole in the first half and could not dig themselves out of it as they fell to Clintonville 58-39.
