Badgers resume play after break against Western Michigan

The Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team is fresh off of a 15 day break after their game versus Grambling was canceled. They will take on Western Michigan in their last non-conference game of the regular season.

Wisconsin has moved up in the polls to the #15 spot Monday, and sit at 9-2 overall. The break could prove to be positive or negative for the team, which needed to focus on finals and the holidays, but have gone 15 days without any real competition. Tyler Wahl remains the leader on the team in Points per Game with 14.5, but Wisconsin has 4 players in double figures this season. Wisconsin won the only meeting between these two teams way back in 1954, with a final score of 80-68.

It has been an up and down season for the Western Michigan Broncos, with a 4-8 record currently. The Broncos nearly pulled off an upset in their first game of the season, narrowly losing to the Minnesota Golden Gophers 61-60. The two teams have only one common opponent on the year so far, with that being the Dayton Flyers. The Broncos lost to the Flyers in Dayton 67-47 on November 30th, and the Badgers defeated the Flyers in the Bahamas 43-42.
