Green Bay basketball splits Detroit teams for second time

For the second time in three days, Green Bay's basketball teams split their matchups against Detroit-area teams.

 

In Rochester, Mich., the Phoenix men fell to Oakland 81-65 thanks in part to a 17-7 run in the second half run by the Golden Grizzlies after they were able to get the deficit to within four points. The Phoenix received a season-high 17 points from Randy Tucker while Cade Meyer added 11 points and Ryan Wade registered 10 points off the bench.The defense could not keep up with the Golden Grizzlies, who shot over 54 percent from the field.

 

In Green Bay, the Phoenix women dominated Detroit-Mercy 80-33. The game was out of hand after just one quarter with the Phoenix outscoring the Titans 31-7 in the first quarter.  The Phoenix also forced the Titans into 23 turnovers, scoring 28 points off of them. Sydney Levy led the way with 14 points. Jenna Guyer and Cassie Schiltz each added 12 points and Callie Genke scored 10 points off the bench.
