It was a tale of two games for the Green Bay Gamblers and the Chicago Steel New Year's weekend.

On Friday, Josh Player opened the scoring for the Gamblers in the second period, but then the team gave up two goals in the second and third periods en route to 4-1 loss.

On Saturday, Peter Kramer and  Jacob Martin blitzed the Steel with two early goals and Michael DeAngelo tallied another in the second period to lead the Gamblers to a 3-1 win over the Steel.

Goalkeeper Kristoffer Eberly made 54 saves across the two games.
