Badgers edge Minnesota in Big Ten

The Wisconsin Badgers held on for a 63-60 win over their border rival Minnesota Gophers Tuesday night in Madison to remain undefeated in the Big Ten.  Winners of six-in-a-row, the Badgers controlled most of the game and had as big as a 15-point lead in the second half, before the Gophers made a late run.

Playing most of the game without leading scorer Tyler Wahl due to an ankle injury, Wisconsin relied on Freshman guard Conner Essegian and sophomore guard Chucky Hepburn who combined for 37 points.

Hepburn’s steal in the final seconds after a missed free throw by Steven Crowl sealed the victory for the 14th ranked Badgers (3-0, 11-2 overall).
