Boys Basketball Roundup: Algoma rolls as L_C, Gibraltar, Sturgeon Bay, and Kewaunee fall

Area boys basketball teams were busy on the hardwoods on Tuesday night with only one local team coming away with a non-conference victory.

 

The Algoma Wolves took a 50 point lead into halftime and cruised to a 88-18 win against Gresham on the road.

 

The Kewaunee Storm lost a heartbreaker to Valders 63-62 to the Valders Vikings in nailbiter in Valders.

 

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers lost a high-scoring affair on the road to Kohler 102-78.

 

The Gibraltar Vikings lost at home 76-59 to Menominee (MI) in Fish Creek.

 

In Northeastern Conference basketball action, the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans fell to the Waupaca Comets on the road 77-70 after leading at halftime 28-27.
