Badgers get back on winning track with win over Penn State

The Wisconsin Badgers snapped a three-game losing streak in Big Ten play with a 63-60 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions on Tuesday night.

Steven Crowl led the Badgers with 21 points and grabbed 11 boards to propel Wisconsin to their fourth Big Ten win.  Chucky Hepburn added 13 points, while Tyler Wahl and Connor Essegian each chipped in 10 points to help the Badger cause.

After the two teams went scoreless from the field in the last two minutes, Hepburn hit two free throws to finish the scoring, as a desperation three-pointer by Penn State’s Andrew Funk hit the back of the rim and popped out as time expired.

Wisconsin (12-5, 4-3 Big Ten) will play the Northwestern Wildcats on the road on Saturday with the tip at 11 a.m.
