Three wrestlers win individual titles across three tournaments

All four local wrestling teams were in action on Saturday at various tournament, including a pair of them at Sturgeon Bay.

 

The Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol wrestling team hosted some of the best teams in the state on Saturday en route to a 14th-place finish. Ben Roman (285) took 3rd place and Zak Wrobel (170) finished in fourth place as the Clippineers's lone place winners.

 

The Southern Door wrestling team responded to Thursday's disappointment with a strong fifth-place finish at the Dirk Sorenson Door County Classic on Saturday. Hayden Jeanquart (160) captured first place while Trevor Englebert (138) and Mason Motquin (120) took third. Three others placed in the tournament.

 

The Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team only looked up at Kaukauna in the final standings of the Pulaski Invitational on Saturday. Jake Jandrin (106)  and Easton Worachek (132) took first place while Isaac Jerabek (120), Blakelee Bastien (126), Blakelee Bastien (182), and Ezra Waege (195). Six others placed on the day.

 

Kemper Robinson was the top-place winner for the Kewaunee wrestling team on Saturday at the Deerfield Scramble. Robinson took second place at 160 pounds while Matt Wery (145) and Mitchell Boeder (285) took 3rd place. Two others placed in the tournament.
