Pitchers and catchers prepare to report next week

Some of the first signs of spring will be found in Arizona and Florida next week as pitchers and catchers report to their respective MLB spring training sites.

Pitchers and catchers participating in the World Baseball Classic will report to Spring Training by Feb. 13, with position players due a few days later. For Brewers fans, Closer Devin Williams (USA), infielder Abraham Toro (Canada), first baseman Rowdy Tellez (Mexico), and infielder Luis Urías (Mexico) are less than a week away from reporting to Maryvale for their first workouts. During last month's Hot Stove and Cold Brews event, shortstop Willy Adames and right-hander Freddy Peralta expressed their interest in playing for Team Dominican Republic. The official rosters will not be announced until later today, February 9th.

For those not playing in the World Baseball Classic, the Brewers’ first full-squad workout is on February 21st.
