Most of the area's girls basketball teams will hit the hardwood Monday after learning their WIAA fate on Sunday.
The Sturgeon Bay Clippers girls basketball team will take a trip up to Fish Creek to take on the Gibraltar Vikings on Monday night. Gary Barta and Lucas Stephenson will be on the call from Fish Creek on 103.3 The Clipper, 96.7 WBDK HD-2, and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com. The pregame show is set for 7:15 P.M. with tipoff slated for 7:30 P.M.
Other games slated for Monday include Luxemburg-Casco playing a non-conference game against Green Bay Southwest (7 p.m.), Kewaunee hosting Southern Door (7:30 p.m.), and Sevastopol visiting NEW Lutheran (6:30 p.m.)
The WIAA announced their pairings on Sunday for the tournament that will begin on February 21st. That's when #14 Gibraltar visits Niagara, #11 Sturgeon Bay travels to #6 Clintonville, #8 Southern Door welcomes #9 Algoma, and #10 Kewaunee heads to #7 Menominee Indian. Sevastopol, the #2 seed, will battle the winner of #7 Suring and #10 Bowler on February 24th. That is also when #6 Luxemburg-Casco will travel to #3 West De Pere.
