You will see at least three new baseball coaches in Door County this spring due to recent resignations.

Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, and Southern Door have all posted their head varsity baseball coach positions in recent months. It means the end of the road for Tom Ash (Sevastopol), Matt Propsom (Sturgeon Bay), and Dave Neinas (Southern Door). 

Two of those positions could be filled by Wednesday night. Discussion around hiring a new baseball coach is on the agenda for the Sevastopol and Sturgeon Bay School District Board Meetings. Sturgeon Bay is expected to name Neal Henrigillis as its new head baseball coach. He was a social studies teacher and the boys head baseball coach at Peshtigo High School for the last six years, with three years as the JV coach, before he took over as the head baseball coach. Henrigillis is a Middle School Social Studies Teacher in the district.

Southern Door recently posted their open position for a head baseball coach.
