Green Bay basketball teams end road slate at Robert Morris, Youngstown State

The Green Bay basketball teams will play four games at two campuses on alternating days beginning Thursday, with the men battling Robert Morris.

The Phoenix men are coming off two close defeats at home last week, including a 76-71 loss to Detroit-Mercy last Saturday. Clarence Cummings III registered his second game with 20 or more points this season, and Zae Blake added 18 points in his return to the line-up. Enoch Cheeks paces RMU's offense with 16.2 points per contest, while Kahliel Spear adds 15.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Earlier this season, the Phoenix fell to Robert Morris 72-38 on January 21st, which ultimately led to the demise of former head coach Will Ryan.  Tip-off from Pennsylvania will take place at 6 p.m. The Phoenix will then backtrack to Youngstown State for a Saturday matinee at 1 p.m.

The Phoenix women are trying to keep pace with Cleveland State to secure their first regular-season conference championship since 2018. Natalie McNeal scored a season-high 16 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds to propel the Phoenix to a 75-55 win over Wright State on Sunday. The Colonials have split their last four games, including a 74-43 win over Oakland last weekend. The two teams will also tip off at 6 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix women will play at Youngstown State on Sunday at noon. The Penguins were the last team to beat the Phoenix, a 63-60 decision at the Kress Center on January 20th.
