The Green Bay Phoenix men saw another close game at half time turn into a double-digit loss Thursday night, falling to Robert Morris 71-56.
Clarence Cummings III overcame a slow start to lead the Phoenix with 12 points, all of which came after the break. Davin Zeigler added 10 points and Brock Heffner chipped in seven points coming off the bench in the loss.
The game was 30-27 at the break and later turned into a four-point Phoenix lead, but the Colonials were able to start running away from the Phoenix thanks to a 17-6 run midway through the half and a 7-0 spurt to end the contest.
The men will head to Youngstown State to close out their road slate while the Phoenx women will get their crack at Robert Morris Friday night at 6 p.m.
